BALLET MÉCANIQUE

Opel, Salon de l'Automobile | Geneva (CH) | 2005

Like the conductor of a musical performance, a dancing, real Opel Zafira triggers the surprising metamorphosis of its surroundings through its own driving motions. In this choreography of music and moving images, the stage image of the moving projection surfaces keeps changing. This interaction produces a switch of perspectives, a continual change in which the real Zafira makes its unique design, dynamics and versatility visible, tangible and perceptible through strong, splendid gestures. A strong, dynamic ballet develops continually from a slow, atmospheric ground state as well as real and cinematic actors. A production by Mark Tamschick in collaboration with m box bewegtbild GmbH on behalf of Bellprat Associates AG.
