BLUE SCAPE

Panasonic, IFA | Berlin (DE) | 2003

Immersive 360° environment. The real space of the Panasonic trade fair booth with an area of 3,800sqm was optically transformed, extended, straightened and stretched into the depth by a 360° projection, 160 metres long and six metres high. As seen from all the entries and vantage points, the visitors were inside of a virtual stage, an abstract blue light world, which was made of lines and surfaces. Architectural elements and virtual lines blurred, the static architecture came alive. The room started to move.

The network of lines reacted to the influences of its protagonist, the 'red woman', who embodied the individual in the world of products, continuously transforming the space. The interplay between electronic products by Panasonic, their networking capabilities and the interactions with people was translated: Time and space blended in this 360° panorama projection.
