Aramco Exhibit VIP Visitor Experience

Saudi Aramco

Riyadh (SA)

2024

The Aramco VIP visitor experience “Aramco Exhibit” offers a journey through Aramco’s heritage, innovations, expertise, activities and future vision. On two floors of the Aramco Tower in Riyadh, the exhibit seamlessly integrates complex topics like AI-driven oil exploration, blue ammonia production and sustainability into an interactive, spatially overall scenography. Aramco is portrayed as a living, evolving organism, with the venue acting as its core, reflecting the company’s continuous energy, transformation and innovation.

All aspects of the company’s activities are interconnected, forming a dynamic ecosystem. Each individual topic is weaved seamlessly into an immersive journey – harmonizing all elements in a cohesive spatial experience. The space is a dynamic storyteller, adapting to visitor needs — whether a brief introduction, a focused exploration, or an extensive tour. Echoing Aramco’s identity as a constantly evolving force, the space becomes a responsive environment.

About

The building’s core is the central data hub where all information converges. Content can be dynamically accessed — either activated by the visitor’s presence and synchronized with the voice over or guided by a presenter. Using real-time applications, the venue dynamically responds to visitors’ actions – offering over 2 hours of content in an immersive emotional journey.

Twelve mirrored frames with in-build screens form a large-scale kaleidoscope. Over 247 sqm of mirrored kinetic walls create dynamic movements in space – in synergy with 200 sqm wall cladding with integrated LED strips. Projection mappings on surfaces suspended from the ceiling form a spatial media sculpture. Two large LED screens display 3D real-time applications and offer deepening content via gesture control. Selected highlight objects are presented behind transparent screens, offering information using augmented reality. A 90 sqm interactive LED floor interacts with the media surfaces and the movements of the visitors. A cylindric wire curtain projection shows on 82 sqm several 360° panoramic videos, interlinked with the content shown on a touch table. A 170 cm diameter projection globe presents media content, interacting with the light choreography of a dynamic driven light cloud. A 32 sqm LED screen is designed around a corner, creating visual holographic 3D effects. All elements merge into a holistic overall visitor experience, responding dynamically to the behavior of the visitor.

In addition to work with the client's extensive footage, on-site shoots in Saudi Arabia were organized and carried out by TMS. For 360° panoramic shots above and below water, a special camera rig was developed and built. For a green screen studio shoot with over 20 actors, a spatial scenario was developed and visualized in 3D in advance. During the media production, the produced media content was continuously tested under real conditions in a virtual technical environment (Disguise), to ensure that content and technical hardware work together smoothly.

The venue's narrative is continuously refreshed and expanded every three months, supported by a flexible programming system that allows for effortless updates and an expanding storytelling experience.
