About

Together with Steiner Sarnen and Nüssli , we emotionally staged the problem of melting glaciers in an immersive space for the Swiss Pavilion at Expo 2021 in South Korea, under the title "Birth of an Ocean – It's in your Hands". Visitors were made aware of the small but important details of the water habitat with small media-based gestures such as projections on their palms. In addition, the beauty and fragility of the millennia-old glaciers was impressively conveyed in a huge projection in a medial, walk-in glacier panorama.

As a highlight at the end of the exhibition we placed "The Source", or source of knowledge, a completely mirrored room which symbolised Switzerland's understanding of its responsibility towards glacier nature as a habitat and water resource.
